Jeśli uważacie, że jedynym znaczącym zespołem pochodzącym z Brazylii jest Sepultura, to z pewnością nie słyszeliście Opprobrium! Przez 20 lat działalności formacja znana była pod szyldem Incubus, ale ze względu na istnienie drugiego, amerykańskiego zespołu, o identycznej nazwie i wynikające z tego pomyłki, brazylijski Incubus postanowił zmienić nazwę na właśnie Opprobrium. Pod nowym szyldem kapela istnieje od 1997 roku. Ich twórczość to przede wszystkim mieszanka death i trash metalu. This death/thrash monstrosity has been infecting the metal scene for more than 20 years now, at first using the name Incubus and then changing it in to Opprobrium in 1997. During their career, the band released four albums, each showcasing pure death metal destruction. In 2008 the band resurfaced on the Internet and announced that they're working on the material for a new full-length release - "Mandatory Evac", which eventually saw the light of day in August. The album is now exclusively available through Metal Mind Productions. Opprobrium, the creators that brought to you the classic death metal masterpieces "Serpent Temptation", "Beyond The Unknown" and "Discerning Forces", are now back with a vengeance with yet another death metal onslaught; "Mandatory Evac"!
