Includes 24-page booklet This release presents all existing collaborations between Ray Charles and one of the most celebrated arrangers in jazz history, Quincy Jones, prior to 1961 (Charles wouldn't make another recording with Jones until 1965). Charles' performances on Jones' various arrangements are particularly noteworthy, as is their magnificent interplay when Ray joins the Quincy Jones orchestra for the first half of the LP The Genius of Ray Charles. Also included here are most of Charles' collaborations with the also celebrated arranger Ralph Burns, with whom Jones wouldn't work again until 1988. [...więcej...]
