The story so far.... The New York Dolls formed in '71 with no clue of the impact they'd make in such a short time. They released two records and turned the rock scene on its head with their one of a kind attitude, style, and sound. After two influential albums and on a track to domination the ride stopped with the death of a founding member. The band parted ways as their legacy continued to grow and spawn and inspire new genres and bands. They inspired punk like the Sex Pistols and the Ramones all the way to the modern day stars Green Day and Fall Out Boy.
