Is it an exaggeration to state that there had been no New Wave Of American Heavy Metal or Metalcore without OVERCAST? It is not! Just a quick look at the line-up is enough to realize the immense contribution this band has done to the scene. Between 1991 and 1998 Brian Fair (SHADOWS FALL) and Mike D'Antonio (KILLSWITCH ENGAGE), among others, were playing together in OVERCAST, before their "other" bands reached world fame while the group was on hiatus. The new album set for a late summer release and aptly titled "Reborn To Kill Again" shows that this band deserved world fame itself. OVERCAST have re-recorded eleven of their old classics plus two unreleased tracks for a new full-length album. |
