This album set the stage for what has become a long and impressive rule in the folk metal world. This album was pressed and presented as part of the Moonsorrow "Heritage" 14xLP Box Set - at the time the largest metal box set in history - which sold out in pre-orders and got coverage on every major metal blog out there.
There were originally only four releases made available outside the box set, utilizing the brand new vinyl masters, which have been considered superior to the CD release by everyone involved.
