Music On Vinyl proudly presents a second release of the COLLECTED albums. The new albums will focus on memorable artists with almost a life span of original intriguing music, covering a timeless musical period! Next to other incredible artists in the COLLECTED series it's time for the band 10cc. It all started in Manchester, where Kevin Godley and Lol Creme knew each other as children and Graham Gouldman and Godley attended the same secondary school. ----- więcej ----- They all shared one big passion; music. The first hit "Donna" was a Godley/Creme composition and reached number 2 in 1972.While short after "Rubber Bullets" became a hit internationally and gave 10cc their first number 1 single in 1973. They consolidated their success a few months later with "The Dean And I". The tracks all featured on their 1973 debut album 10CC. The second album Sheet Music was released in 1974 and contained the hits "The Wall Street Shuffle" and "Silly Love". Sheet Music became the band's breakthrough album paving the way for a tour in 1974. 10cc's third album, The Original Soundtrack, which was already complete, was released just weeks later. The single "Life Is A Minestrone" became another hit but their biggest success came with the worldwide hit "I'm Not In Love" in 1975. Their fourth album, How Dare You!, featured two more hits -"Art For Art's Sake" in 1975 and "I'm Mandy, Fly Me" from 1976. But by this time the relationships between the members had begun to fray, and it was the last album with the original line-up. Godley & Creme went on to achieve cult success as a song writing and recording duo, scoring several hits and releasing a string of innovative albums and singles. The video for their 1985 single "Cry" is especially notable as one of the first mainstream uses of image morphing technology. Stewart and Gouldman recruited drummer Paul Burgess for session work on their next album, Deceptive Bends. The album yielded two hit singles, "The Things We Do For Love" and "Good Morning Judge". Fenn, Tosh, Burgess and keyboardist Duncan Mackay were full members of the band when 10cc performed on 1978's Bloody Tourists, which provided the band with another hit single, the reggae-styled "Dreadlock Holiday". Gouldman and Stewart fired the band before recording Ten Out of 10 in 1981 as a duo. The duo's next official 10cc album, Windows in the Jungle, was released in 1983 and contained the hit "Feel The Love". COLLECTED now enjoys all projects by the 10cc band, with releases of all original members, solo projects and the duo releases. A wonderful release of classic hits and tracks!
