Due to the competition from the USA and England, Heavy Metal made in Germany was often not noticed in the eighties. When the only LP of the Berlin band Sudden Death was released in 1987, the speed and thrash wave as well as the softer hair metal groups were also popular. Today, however, headbangers love the bands that were caught between two stools 30 years ago.
