Guitarist, George Johnson and Bassist, Louis Johnson became two of the most in demand session players in early seventies Los Angeles, backing the likes of Bobby Womack, Billy Preston and The Supremes. They soon came to the attention of the legendary Quincy Jones, who produced the duo's first four albums, all of which went Platinum. The Brothers Johnson came to define the uptown funk of the late seventies with hits like I'll Be Good To You, Get the Funk Outta My Face, Runnin' For Your Lovin' and Strawberry Letter #23 Fresh from their international 1980 smash hit, Stomp, the duo released their fifth album in 1981.
