In 1974, one year after leaving Bowie's entourage, Mick Ronson released his solo debut album Slaughter On 10th Avenue. It features his version of Elvis Presley's "Love Me Tender", two tracks written by David Bowie as well as Ronson's most famous solo track "Only After Dark".
Mick Ronson is best known for his work with David Bowie as one of The Spiders from Mars. He can be heard on legendary albums like The Man Who Sold the World, Hunky Dory, The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars and Aladdin Sane. He was also a busy session musician who worked with artists such as Bob Dylan, Van Morrison & Morrissey.
