In the two years since Dayton, Ohio's MOUTH OF THE ARCHITECT released their debut, the brilliant Time & Withering, the band has been to hell and back. Their follow-up, The Ties That Blind, reflects everything the remaining members has had to overcome in the two year time span. After numerous member changes caused a great deal of instability within the band and their future, the remaining members persevered and worked with what they had and soldiered on. With the stunning sounds of The Ties That Blind, Mouth of the Architect consciously delved deeper into prog-metal territory than before, while still maintaining their key atmospheric droning sounds.
