1993 - Following an EU Tour with Holy Moses, WARPATH entered the studio again! "Massive" was the second album and marked a radical change in direction regarding the band's musical style - they stepped away from power metal and now played thrash with N.Y.H.C. and death metal elements. The release of the title song proved to be a success for the band, because "Massive" was on heavy rotation in numerous metal clubs and made the necks of a lot of metalheads hurt. The cover version of Carnivore's "Race War" was another big step for WARPATH. The song by Pete Steele, late front man of Type O Negative, was already received with mixed results, when it was originally released in the 80's, because a lot of people did not get the message or didn't listen to the lyrics properly.
